When Light Shines The Brightest
As the classes come to an end, the Caylum Trading Institute Recruitment Course Batch XI is about to face on of the toughest challenges it has at hand – moving forward. 31 brave souls have conquered their individual jitters throughout the five modules and final thesis in the duration of the Recruitment Course. However, little do we know that what’s in store for us are even greater obstacles.
To me, I see that Caylum Trading Institute has been our light. It is a light that shines so bright that we can end up being blinded by the light. Everyone has their own takeaway from the course, that they think they can do it alone. Surely, this is not an issue. It is not a question of whether they can do it or not. Definitely, each individual in Batch XI can be successful based on everyone’s individual performance. I am confident that no one amongst Batch XI is a talent wasted. However, WHEN each individual will realize their trading goals is another story.
Working in teams has never been an easy feat. It requires someone to take on the difficult role of sacrificing his own time, resources and wit to ensure that radical ideas are formed, and executed as planned. Thus, the regular individual chooses the solitary path. After all, for that trader, the light illuminates the path so clearly that he is so sure what the charts tell of him.
However, the same light shines only within the premises of the chart. It does not shine the same light on your career aspirations nor the circumstances that may deter you from being successful in your trading career. The light shines so bright on your charts that it darkens your view of anything outside trading. As such, you fall into the trap of trading myopia.
This probably is why I am taking the road less taken – the path towards building new dynamics on trading in groups. I have to exert the extra mile to establish rapport and value connections among my trusted comrades in the class. It entails selflessness to realize not only my own dreams but also their dreams. It capitalizes on the trust they have shown me as if their future are on my shoulders. It requires accountability and responsibility for me not only to advance my trading career but to lift each individual trader to be a superstar perhaps greater than myself or anyone else we know. It requires a great deal of effort for me to think of all possible scenarios, alternatives and mix-and-match on their individual trader goals and our intertwined group trading strategic directions.
Hence, we illuminate a greater span of opportunity creation when we choose to use the light to shine the brightest from different angles. We cover each other’s back by filling the gap of what others’ cannot illuminate if we were all to use our lights only on the charts. We create a new realm that is impossible for a single light to do on its own.
